My Mom is 101. She ate cantaloupe daily for breakfast with toast and coffee, lunch was a cup of soup with 2 rice crackers, dinner was meat, vegetable and either rice or potatoes. Mom has chocolate or a dessert daily. She walked and exercised daily. In 90', s she had spine surgery and it left her with a walker. Today she eats wild blueberries 🫐 1 cup in am with toast. When in season I add cantaloupe or mandal papaya. Lunch is an egg sandwich with coleslaw. Dinner mostly chicken, vegetable and rice with gravy on rice. As my sister said ..Mom was built to last!!❤

It's called living like a decent person, that's the way people are supposed to be, nothing extra.

I am on my feet most of the day, a carer for my wife, gardener/shopper etc, I do between 10, 000/30.000 steps a day, I walk to the shops, I find time to play bowls, I eat lots of fish and take olive oil, many veg and mushrooms every day, no red meat, the odd chicken now and then, Never eat take away food! I do not watch TV, I go on my laptop at pm each night searching for blogs like this one! I am only 74 years of age, but I know I am on the right track in my life! I enjoy being active and I do help others! Life is for living, not for looking at fiction programmes coming from a square box! I get up to date news from the net.

Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara’s insights into longevity are truly inspiring! His approach emphasizes the importance of staying active, having a purpose, and maintaining a balanced diet. I especially love the concept of eating until 80% full—something so simple yet backed by science. His advice on not relying too heavily on medical treatments and focusing on a holistic lifestyle is a great reminder that health is not just about what we eat, but how we live. Who else feels motivated to adopt some of his habits for a longer, healthier life?

My Peruvian great-grandfather lived to 114. He ate whatever he wanted, but I think he was healthy because he never overindulged in anything, and was very, very calm no matter what was happening.

Keep MOVING!!! Also, avoid overly processed foods with their TOXIC chemicals. I am 66 and started to JOG again after 40 years. Jesus has healed my broken right knee 3X over the last 12 years. I HONOR HIM daily with a gentle jog. Sometimes my cat joins me part way, going at his pace, lol. LAUGH and smile as much as possible. GREAT VIDEO. THANKS so much!!! USA
