This one seemed especially fun for Kat to teach the kids a few things. A lot of this stuff carried into the 90's even when I grew up. I used to love my Walkman.

I'm 65, this was a normal house in Texas in the 70s.

My neighbor's house was built in 73 and still has an avocado green bath tub and the kitchen has the original bright yellow appliances. Hes hoping that someday they will be cool again.

LOL - Stopping for every time you remember seeing something similar is funny.

We had a fireplace in the house we lived in my last year of high school. We had a sectional couch but it was light brown.

Yup. Remember the huge console tv with a built in radio and record player.

We had harvest gold or white appliances.

Bean bag couches and chairs do not have plastic 'beans' anymore. They now use spongy little cubes or triangles. They are like the Temperpedic mattresses that shape to your body. I had one and loved it but my nieces loved it more so I gave it to the first one who got her own apartment. 😁 So don't worry about it making a mess...

My Aunt used to fall asleep on the sofa and would try to pick the flowers off of the cushions in her sleep.

I'm so glad that I was able to save some of my pryox. Especially my turkey platter. Love From Michigan and it's a beautiful evening ❤❤ Springtime is on the way ❤

I remember every single one of these things. A neighbor couple I and a friend in high school worked for had a big basement they used for parties. One very long wall was paneled. We had to wipe that wall down with Liquid Gold cleaner before parties. It made it look better, I guess. ;0)

I had a set of grandparents with the whole 70's thing. Some of the stuff I grew up came from the tail end of the 80's and through the 90's.

I thank all of you for making me smile!
Everything in that video was in our house back then.

I was born in the 80s. We had a brown flower couch like that and a big TV like that also.

An especially bad thing about textured walls was that they collected dust easily. I found them very easy to resist.

Many pickup trucks in our country towns and larger families. Neighbor family would drive by going to the lake. We'd toss our kids in with them, accompanied or not and gone for the afternoon. No restraints or seat belts (we usually sat on them anyways) and a pack of kids bouncing around in the back. The good old days

Hilarious, I remember most of this in my youth. My mother's home still has a lot of it. Station wagons were everywhere back then. We had one that had the back door open sideways,
but most flipped down like a truck's tailgate. In one Dodge wagon there was a seat that flipped up at back door and you were facing the cars behind you..I owned a bunch of music
8 tracks, they were very frustrating to listen to. Sometimes a song would fade out and you would hear a click so it went to the next storage space( there were 4) and come back in to
finish song. Each storage space held about 15 minutes of time. On an album you could lift needle and place down again to play whichever song you'd like to hear. On an 8 track you
had to wait a cycle. ex: you really like first song on storage space 1, you had to wait till it finished the space (15 minutes) and when it went to the second space there was a button you
could skip 3 and 4 and would start 1 again(annoying) to hear your favourite song again. Sorry for long book to read but brings back a lot of good memories. The rotary phone we kept
in closet somewhere too. Seen a youtube video where kids ( son's age) are asked what old gadgets are, and how to use. Hilarious( not so funny when realize how old I'm getting)
Great reaction, enjoyed it, pleasure viewing your channel, dad missing, maybe catch the whole fam damily next time.( being silly)

I'll bet a lot of people didn't notice, but in the vignette where the couple is eating dinner in front of the TV on the folding plastic "TV trays, " that is a young Ronald and Nancy Reagan featured.

I don't know how big that snake is. But it is possible that one of the cats found it.
