Anne Kananu takes office from Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Benson Mutura

when she formally assumed office after receiving instruments of power from Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Benson Mutura who was the acting governor following Mike Sonko's impeachem Acting Nairobi County Governor Anne Kananu Mwenda has promised to steer clear of politics and prioritize quality service delivery to city residents. Kananu who was appointed Deputy Governor last Friday also pledged to collaborate with the county assembly, the national government and the leadership of the Nairobi Metropolitan Service to reclaim Nairobi’s lost glory. She made the remarks Monday morningent last month.
