Awesome news for UPS workers - they deserve it. Thanks for all of your hard work throughout the pandemic and moving forward!

You’d think grown adults would know the definition of tentative. That title is inaccurate, you should fix it.

Our economy needs to turn around faster, the place I work is about to have a huge layoff. It’s getting scary.

They'll get a pay increase, UPS will raise prices, demand will decrease, layoffs will follow. You can bet which workers will get laid off first.

I hope they got air conditioning in their trucks.

Edit: never mind...the reporter mentioned it.

Well that is awesome news! Let's just hope consumers don't end up paying for all the vitally needed changes.

And an excuse to raise shipping costs across the board for all shipping services by all of them. But hey, some union reps got a big pay raise and lots of extras.

This reminds me of the UAW in the 1970s. The Japanese came in and ate their lunch, and later came the Koreans with Hyundai, Kia, Daewoo, etc.

UPS drivers were already paid well, now it is just ridiculous. $45/hour to deliver boxes? This also comes at a precarious time when firms are experimenting with autonomous trucks and delivery drones.

I want folks to earn a living and I know they work their tails off, but companies that have these big muscle unions can’t pivot when new technologies come along.
