My personal favorite is the M60e4. It’s lighter than the OG M60, has a built in foregrip (can get the e6 version for the tac rail), and makes you feel like Rambo in Airsoft.

At the field i work/play at, we recently switched to semi only except for saws. We define it as any gun that in the real world would be used in that role, providing that the gun is setup in that way. So we include full length rpks, m27 with a box mag, shrikes and all the obvious big guns. Its cut back on a ton of overshooting issues we were experiencing from people who were "saws".

I think an LMG should be heavy but still very powerful with a high fire rate. This would keep it balanced by restricting the user’s mobility but allowing him to lay down a laser beam of BB’s

an airsoft LMG defined by me is a box mag fed by the tubes on the side like the m249. the G&G and krytac lmgs to me are just m4s with a box mag

I'm a CAW minigun owner, I bought it off the Evike site when they were first released, sadly don't use it as much anymore because most fields around here now are BIO BB only and or Semi only.

An LMG, by definition, and the definition I follow, is basically said as the following:
"Any fully automatic weapon in which all components (gun, ammo, attachments) can be carried, manned, and used by a singular person". Usually using a standard round that the infantry uses, IE 5.56. Perfect example, the M249 or the RPK.
An "HMG" (referred to as a "Crew Served Weapon") is "any automatic weapon in which carrying all pieces must be carried by 2-4 members of a Gun Team. Typically involving the Gunner, carrying a 50-100 round belt in the gun, the AG/Assistant Gunner (AKA the Gun Team Leader) carrying the tripod and 1 extra belt of ammo, and 1-2 Ammo Bearers, ABs, carrying roughly 800-1000 rounds a person. perfect example, the M240 machinegun series, including the M240B, M240C, and M240L.Usually in a heavier, bigger, harder hitting round Like .308, 7.62x39, and the .50 BMG.
The M1919 and the M2 would classify as HMG seeing as they use bigger rounds and it takes at LEAST 3 members of a collective team to ensure the weapon system is used at maximum efficiency.

Out of all the mgs out there all I want is a mg42 as my support weapon but I can never find one cheap enough or in stock

The two LMGS that are the best options are an M249 that can take m4 mags for the nato bois and a full length RPK for the ak bros.
The reason being either can take regular mags so when your box or drum eventually fails...which it will...someone can toss you a mag or you can have one handy until you get your stuff fixed or replaced. If you don't feel like fussing with the box or drum you can just run mags too.
If the rpk isnt full length some fields won't let it run as an lmg.
