Heart and Soul - Piano Cover (Jazz/Blues)

Heart and Soul was written in 1938, with music by Hoagy Carmichael and lyrics by Frank Loesser. Hoagy Carmichael also wrote Georgia on My Mind. This song is usually taught to piano students as a way to understand the I-vi-IV-V progression.

I moved away from that traditional progression and tried to use a iii - vi- ii- V instead (Eminor to A7b9 to Dminor to G13). As well as some passing chords and the occasional blues fill. This is a timeless melody and a song that really resonates with people. I threw in a little left turn for the ending. Thanks for listening!
