the most impressive part to me wasnt him calling where the ball was going or knowing what cisco was gonna say before he EVEN SAID IT, it was him saying duck in advance already knowing that they wouldnt understand until he said “now!” and then impressed his damn self in the process like whattt

I like that it was just that his mind was fast. So because of this at first his personality didn’t change. Like giving a car a new turbo charged engine. The body looks the same. It turns the same. But as Barry used this faster brain more it changed his mind more and more. Like a car guy needing to improve steering because of the faster engine. Getting new wheels cause of the needed tractions. They handled this quite well imo

The "you freaky" gets me every time

As many have said, this is based on a comic book story line where Barry unlocks the ability to predict the future essentially. It's handled very poorly here. I think people get caught up on the "Super thinking" name here. He has always been able to think fast, but this is different. It's more like super processing. By focusing the speed for in his mind, he can process all the variables in space. Not just what's happening, but how even atoms will react to any given stimuli. Being able to process all of this means he can practically see the future. The problem is that when he finally decides to act, this will change everything and create a new future. In the comics, this process loops so much that he is no longer focusing on the present and locks up, nearly taking a bullet to the face. He then decides not to use that ability in combat anymore at the risk of losing himself again. In the show, it's just the standard if you get too smart or know too much, you lose your emotions and sense of empathy. It's also poorly explained.

Fun fact: in the Brazilian dub, in the accelerated part when Barry predicts what Cisco would write, Cisco's voice actor says something like: "I can say anything at this moment because I know my speech will be distorted" Well, let's just say they forgot to distort it, and that line was recorded in the episode.😅
