Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich - Episode 206

Ingredients:
Oil for frying (I used corn oil, don't use olive oil)
1/3 cup Franks red hot pepper sauce
2/3 cup water
4 chicken fillets chicken fillets
1 cup all purpose flour
4 tsp cayenne pepper
2-1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp garlic powder
4 plain hamburger buns
4 slices tomato
4 pieces lettuces
Mayonnaise

You can use this chicken to make wendy's spicy chicken wrap: 1 flour tortillas, smear some ranch dressing, chopped lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese and half of a chicken.

I've made this a couple of times now, thanks for sharing. It's a huge hit in my household. It's very close to the Spicy chicken burger (which is also my favorite) and my son made me promise that I will make this at least once a month. Of course, I won't mind at all - it's really easy, and delicious!

I tried your recipe and it was spicy hot but delicious. But I had to substitute the black pepper for white & the paprika for crushed red peppers because I didn't have those two ingredients on hand & I added little bit of cornstarch too but it still tasted good . Thanks for posting this recipe. No need to go to Wendy's when I can make it at home. It's also very easy to make.

I just love learning these secrets.  I return you one from my nephew who worked a Chevy's Mexican restaurant.  The chicken fajitas are marinated in Motts margarita mix.  Available in a bottle.  And there you go, that is the trick to the magic of their fajitas.  .

Wendy's spicy chicken. If this is all I could eat for the rest of my life I'd be happy. My absolute favorite. I used to be Crew Leader at the place that actually makes the spicy chicken for Wendy's. I ate so much spicy chicken lol.
