I 100% this game on normal mode and one island mode a year or so back. I remember just using tons of wood to build platforms and abusing markets to get everything I needed. It's a really fun game tbh, wouldn't mind if they updated it or made a sequel.

Not a huge issue, but just wanted to point out that the subtitles in the video itself are off at a few points; i probably wouldn’t have noticed if not for the fact that nothing else was on the screen at the time, which made it a bit more obvious. Mostly just wanted to point it out since I think it might be an auto-caption software issue? Really good video otherwise! Pretty damn impressive dedication, i could never!

Doing single island challenge while in classic mode is very different because classic mode operates off the assumption that the player will buy land asap. Many things don't spawn on the first island until you have purchased your first piece of land. The only moving thing that spawns on the first island until the first purchase of land is the skeleton, no slimes, no secret merchant, no animals, markets dont sell relics

No idea how this is gonna go but fun fact about me I managed to access the void with only a slime pickaxe and fishing rod by buying from the travelling merchant, somehow beat all the enemies, sold what I got, then just went all in on markets and wallets and bought my way through on my first playthrough.
Also fun fact destroying a market and replacing it will essentially refresh it instantly, allowing you to get a lot more items. Also also fun fact with a good enough wallet, the sell value of bought items will exceed the buy value allowing for an infinite money exploit by placing, buying and selling the stock of a marketplace, destroying it, and repeating. The better the wallet the more profit, and gems sell for even more.
Also
Magic isn’t the best upgrade to get right off the bat, the best one is easily industry, as the xp per structure increases per level I do believe, and by destroying and replacing a structure you can get another skill point straight away to make the passive xp from industry even better. Considering the sheer amount of structures you’re gonna build throughout a regular playthrough, industry is super good.
Btw good call on the markets, I do believe it’s the best way to get landfill to expand your island easily.
2:06 how is good a problem? Even with my first playthrough farming sigil bosses and frequent void I had a consistent 1.5k cooked meat

instead of having just a black screen all the time when talking, just put a picture of what you are talking about at that moment, or zoom in on it. Like when you said "told you those star shards would come in handy" just show the previous point in the video where you got them. Black screens can be used good but if there are too many it can lead to just feeling less immersed in the video. just trying to be constructive, other than that it is an amazing video!
