Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Disbands War Cabinet | Subscribe to Firstpost

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dissolved the six-member war cabinet that had been overseeing the conflict in Gaza. The move follows the departure of Benny Gantz, a former army chief and defence minister, from the cabinet. According to a government official, the war cabinet was a “prerequisite” for Gantz to join a unity government. Reports say Netanyahu will now consult with a smaller group of ministers, including Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer on the Gaza war.
