2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco 6MT Review, Walkaround, Start Up & Rev

A decent looking special fuel economy version of the Cruze with class leading efficiency numbers... too bad that only applies to the manual transmission models which aren't as popular with consumers vs the automatic and the interior is a bit of a let down.

"After decades of toiling in the minor leagues, Chevrolet makes it to the show with its much-improved compact sedan entry, the 2011 Cruze."

Wasn't a review at all, it was more you finding every little thing you possible could to complain about, very very poor video.
You didn't even show the ratio from 1-6 in the manual. Very disappointed.

Thanks for your review; I was waiting for your on-road evaluation which didn't happen. You would have enjoyed its dynamic behavior. I have a 2012 Cruze Eco manual that I ordered new and have put 137, 000 miles on it. I got every option (very limited due to weight - that's why there is no rear center console and no spare tire - I added a spare tire to my car and kept the standard air pump) including the Pioneer 9 speaker system with two sub-woofers (sounds almost as good as the Bose 14 speaker system in my 2022 Yukon Denali) and the Navigation color center display. My best fuel economy has been 52 MPG (indicated) at 60- 65 MPH. C&D did 0-60 in 8.0 seconds and hit 132 MPH (the Eco manual comes stock with VR tires). It has forged (lighter and much more expensive than cast) aluminum wheels, a closed out front grille opening and a lowered suspension with stiffer springs (reduces frontal area and improves handling). It has close to 40 specific items to improve fuel economy including a clutched alternator that engages at 0 throttle opening to use the cars momentum to charge the battery (a type of regen). My overall fuel economy is 35 MPG. This car accelerates hard in the first 3 gears due to the trans ratios being unique and numerically higher than the non-eco manuals. 0-30 is definitely quick; after all these miles, I still hit the rev-limiter in first gear on WOT acceleration with the stock tune. The car feels nimble and responsive in turns and, with a Trifecta tune installed (took it off at 100K), it would stay with 6 second 0-60 cars. I'm driving it until the wheels fall off, hopefully another 100K mile. It has been very reliable, has a large trunk and comfortable seats. This is the best small car Chevy ever made. Note: all the silver painted parts still look good..

I have a '12 eco manual and its been terrific for me for, years, including at least 16 round trips from Boston to Virginia . About 44 mpg on those trips, too.

for the people complaining about sofyan vs. christian, it is a matter of taste, they have two different review styles, and the circumstances in which they are reviewing the vehicles is different. Christian is at a car auction so he cannot test drive it, etc. so he focuses on the interior features/materials/engine specs/etc. not a big deal. personally, i love both review styles..

Drove one of these before and it wasn't that bad. I wasn't a fan of how sung I felt inside the car and the materials and stuff but the ride was pretty decent, way better than my mom's Corolla.

whats the matter with the focus? Both it and the Jetta are the most German cars in the class. They handle and feel on the road like no other. Despite the Jetta's cost cutting, its still a great car. My uncle has one and it still handles as crisp as the 5th gen. My friends dad has a Focus Titanium and he let me drive it and it is almost as good to drive. And we have the st which is a beast. And with VW's new 1.8T replacing the I5, it will be a killer to the Civic and Corolla

Its not really a big deal in smaller cars but in large cars it really reduces braking power.

Not a bad car all around in terms of design, performance and ride. Here in Canada the price climbs quickly with options. A base model is the best value.

I have one, it's ok but it should have some basic options i had to buy a USB adaptor, this and the Bluetooth should be in every car not as an option effecting the price.
