When I was studying second year civil engineering in Nanyang Technological University, I was suspended for a year for hacking their computer system. It was a very painful time for me back then and it affected my family and all my friends. Some people even called me a "delinquent". So I registered for a Computer Science course in a US college. I graduated with high honors, found a job in Microsoft, and I am now a retired millionaire in the US. My point is, don't be too disheartened even when you didn't do well in Singapore's education system. There are many ways to live your dreams. Whatever you do, don't give up!

This new Singapore PM would have made an excellent psychiatrist or psychologist - he comes over in an easy & graceful manner & does not put on ‘airs’ like so many world leaders; Singapore is indeed fortunate to have such a leader!🙏🙏

I totally agree. Parents, but also family members are talking about school and work of the children way to much.

As an Indonesian who currently living and working in Singapore, I am having so much admiration and respect to PM Lawrence. He is so down to earth, so humble, showing a great sense of humanity, has a clear vision of his objectives to elevate Singapore to the next level of success not only financially, but also as individual with clear personal values. I so envy you, my Singaporean friends...

Great advice for the youths. Singapore is in good hands with leaders like the new PM . Kudos to the former PM Lee for his success in leading Singapore to such high standings in the world. Cheers from Pennsylvania, USA.

When Chinese ask about others, it doesn't means they are comparing, they show concern for others.

As children, our feelings of self consciousness were at their heights. It is normal to feel insecure because you will grow tougher as you become older. 😊

Why do so many Singaporeans pronounce “conversation” like “converZation”? Don’t they know that usually “s” only gets voiced between vowel letters while “r” is not a vowel letter?
