It's literally taking me twice as long to watch the video because I'm downloading every app as soon as you mention it 😂 love your videos! 💕

I've been binging your videos as I prep for my first ever solo trip on Thursday, thank you so much for all the advice and for making me feel a lot more prepared - I'm still nervous but it is a lot less scary now 😊

TripIt is my all time favourite. Add in all bookings - flights, hotels, transport, excursions etc. This app will add it to your calendar, also accesses Google Maps to show you all the restaurants, cafes, ATMs, parking etc in the area. Can add in Google maps of nearby laundromats and many more. It’s free and a way for family and friends to also access your itinerary while away. Used it for my last 4 trips and counting.
Only 25 days until my UK, France holiday - TripIt just reminded me.
Thx Nadine, apps are our saviour. 😄

quick release is a must for photographers if you want to get a quick model or property release

When you are trying to decide if you can work at a location have the airb&b or hotel owner do a speedcheck and copy it and send it to you, this way no surprises when you get there

Rome2rio is my personal favorite!! It tells you how to get from point A to point B with public transportation and it is very detailed. If you’re in Europe for example and traveling across all countries it tells you the prices of taking a train a bus or a ride share. It is very helpful! And I love that it always gives you the approximate prices!

Useful video thankyou. Komoot is a good one for hikers or photographers looking for legal footpaths. In the UK we have public footpaths, which doesnt mean a sidewalk! It means a public right of way through farmers fields more often than not and theyre everywhere, though you probably wouldnt know it unless you were a local. Grass fields with sheep or cows and normally you can barely make them out but they app shows you more or less where it runs. More obvious in summer as those running through wheat fields are actually maintained free of wheat! Farmers have to keep them access free. Found everywhere but good for hiking along the coast, in mountains like Wales, Lake District, Scotland or just around places of interest like big country house estates or around castles. Styles, gates and bridges are also provided to cross ditches, fences and walls. Komoot isnt free and shows these trails globally, viewranger is free but more for the UK. Very useful for photographers and hikers.

Global blue is great if you’re going to Europe from the US, Canada, and other non EU countries. It allows you to get the taxes back on certain items above a certain amount (excluding food and entertainment/sites). Each country is different, and global blue allows you to see all the participation nations, their tax back rates and the amount you need to spend in order to qualify. It also shows you all of the stores that you can get tax back from in a specific country, their location and much much more. You just have to make sure that when you’re about to ring up your items you inform the cashier that you need a tax back form.

i use "trip case" it helps organize plane bookings, gives alerts with flight times or gate changes etc. you can also add accommodations as well as car rentals and any excursions. another one i use is "pay range". i think it might be only in north america for now, but basically you add a credit card to your account then you can use it at airports or bus stations or train stations that have vending machines and you connect your phone through blue tooth and you can make payments for snacks or drinks from the vending machines. it helps not have to carry a bunch of change around. of course not all vending machines are pay range compatible so you still may have to bring money just in case!!! great video. cheers!

Thank you for this video! I found a friend in the app iamgoingto. But that's only if you like travel or sports. Well, you just can find a fellow traveler, save money on the road.

For those people wondering if Kiwi.com is reputable, yes, they are as long as you don’t miss your flight. They are all made on one way tickets, with 2 or 3 layovers to get to your destination. I used it to go to 2 different places using multicity option. Didn’t miss a flight, and all went well!

Holy crap! I can’t believe I just rediscovered your channel, so happy you’re still making videos :)
I met you when I was a kid during the 8/8/8 youtube meetup in Toronto... one of the few OGs of YouTube :D

If your in Europe you have to use Omio. You can find bus, train or flights all at once. It’s amazing. Also Visit a City is great if you want to have the best route to all the main hot spot areas in a city.

You should check out the Transit app! Tells you in real time when the buses/subways are coming based on your gps info or can be used like google maps to get a public transit itinerary. Works in Montreal and Vancouver and I gathered it works elsewhere too. It can even notify you when it’s time to get off the bus!! Changed my life!

I like Visited to keep track of the countries I’ve been to and/or an planning on hitting.
I like to use my VPN while at home and sign into my Netflix account and see what shows are available in other countries.
