Changing a D1 camlock chuck
In this video, we swap over a 3 Jaw to a 4 jaw.

The main points are;
-Don’t drop your chuck on the bed
-Make sure you can lift safely on or off (some chucks are very heavy)
-Everything is clean
-When secured that the marks are within the arrow section
-Refer to the manual & if you are unsure, don’t do it.
My Warco GH1322 uses a D1-4 camlock, there are a number of different D1 types but they are all quite easily identified.
The easiest way is pin diameter (Ø) and number of pins, I am not going to go into depth here so this is KISS checking;
D1-3 Ø 9/16 (0.5625) ((14.2875)) 3 pins
D1-4 Ø 5/8 (0.6250) ((15.8750)) 3 pin
D1-5 Ø 3/4 (0.7500) ((19.0500)) 6 pin
D1-6 Ø 7/8 (0.8750) ((22.2250)) 6 pin
D1-8 Ø 1” (1.0000) ((25.4000)) 6 pin
There are more but these are the most common types.
You might find in some applications the 6 pin models are only using 3 pins in lightweight applications.
I hope this helps you out.
Regards Andy
