Shipping-costs higher than the real shipping-charge would create a negative vote in Ebay Germany. People here would never accept a seller, who's trying to make an additional profit of shipping-fees ... be glad, that works for you in the U.S. ...

Thank you Peter for the idea! I just put an item on eBay for auction at 99 cents and $15.95 shipping to cover the cost of the item. We'll see in 5 days if I can get rid of this stale inventory and recover my cost.

Put some stale inventory up on auction starting at .99 and guess what? I get a message from a guy in my hometown wanting to know if he could avoid the shipping charges and just pick it up...I've got my cost wrapped up in the shipping! I'm sure it's an isolated incident, but still funny as hell! I told him that I don't offer local pic-up on bargain priced auctions.

Im in UK. Ebay dont allow me to sell knives even a Victorian ornate silver pearl handle fruit knife. Cant list anything with swastika on it like medals. Also have a problem when listing higher than average p and p.
