It teaches a highly contrived word that denies the very existence of hypocrisy, a proven concept.

This forced term should be completely excised from every self-respecting lexicon that was duped into adopting it.

These are very poor and narrow examples. Whataboutism can be very useful in calling out hypocrisies.
