Can humility help transform your relationships and spiritual journey? Join me Megan Ashley In this episode of In Totality, I reflect on the transformative power of humility in my spiritual journey, focusing on the struggles of hidden pride.

Our exploration continues with a heartfelt discussion on the power of humility, inspired by personal experiences and reflections. Listen as I share my journey of confronting hidden pride and the importance of regular introspection and prayer. From a recent panel in Houston to touching family dynamics, you'll hear how humility has played a crucial role in mending and nurturing relationships, especially with my sisters.

Humility is our focus today, an attribute that has shaped my life in profound ways. We close with reflections on God's forgiveness and how embracing our weaknesses allows Christ’s strength to shine through. Wowwww! God JUST gave me a physical illustration of James 4:6 “God resists the proud but gives grace to the HUMBLE” this morning! It was so compelling that I went live on my channel to share it with my subscribers and then as I’m finishing up, your video comes through my notifications about humility! He’s really ministering to me on this today!

Geesh You have no idea how much this is blessing me❤️My daughter and I had a big blow up back in March of this year. We both were at fault. We have not spoke since then. I had been texting her since she left (no response) but recently discovered that she blocked me. I was in James 4 this morning…and the Lord impressed on my heart to go make things right with her. So after work today I’m going to her dad’s house…where she’s currently staying. Like you said…I have to do whatever is in my ability to make amends. This is what God commands. And this is what faith is about….obeying without knowing the outcome. Even if she rejects me today, I’m still trusting and believing God for healing and restoration.

God is so kind! Much love to you Megan❤️I so appreciate you!

The humility of being honest with yourself about how you feel is something real. Since God found me, I have really had to look at my emotions as something that I have to check, and be able to communicate that to others. Being vulnerable is so hard, especially when that is a weak muscle!

Heart check is a real thing... I pray for it daily especially in the area of hidden pride and impure motives.

This year has been such a full year for me friendship wise. I’ve made friends who have surrendered their lives to Christ and it’s been so beautiful to be on this journey together. Sharing with each other, praying for each other and sharpening each other with the word. I can’t stress enough how important that kind of community is 🤍

The explanation about how sometimes we wanna be humble to become exalted (in the 1st two definitions you described) is real. I recognized my pride a while back and even when I pray to be humble, I kinda feel like I wanna be humble just to be blessed or just to be considered a good person. The 3rd definition really hit home for me. ❤

Can you get a virtual option for Acts 242? Even if it's after the actual event?

Thank you for this video Megan. The Holy Spirit used it to speak to me. I did what I needed to do to make ammends after watching this as uncomfortable and vulnerable as it was. It led to reconciliation and I felt my heart soften after pressing "send". Thank you for your obedience. God remains good and kind.

Hi Megan, I am a new listener/watcher to your podcast. It has become my favorite thing to listen to in the morning while I’m getting ready for my day. I want to thank you for sharing this story about you and your sisters relationship. For the last 13 years my sister and I have been estranged from one another. Similar to you, we had a huge argument that we never moved past. I recently gave my life to Jesus and accepted him as my Lord and savior and one thing he was continually putting on my heart was to reach out to my sister. He had been putting things in my sight to encourage this and your podcast was one of them. I made the leap and reached out to let her know that I am praying for her and love her. I don’t know where it might go, but thank you for the encouragement and boldness you showed me that I can have too. ❤

Oh Megan, what you shared about the offense actually being more against your father is MY EXACT SITUATION. Most of my life I've been resisting forming a relationship with my half siblings because my father essentially left my mother (with myself & my brother) to be with his new family. And his requests to build bonds felt like, that's not on me as it was his decision to move on the way he did. What makes it more complicated is that he's had this longstanding rejection of my brother who is autistic. So I've been wondering lately if my loyalty for my brother, more than anyone else, is disobedience to God along with me not honouring my father in thoughts & feelings which is definitely against what God would want. Your story hit home for me so deeply 😢
