2 Possibilities Kunigasa could be hinting at here (both are at about 50% right)
1.Ayanokoji actully felt mad seeing Horikita cry and decided to break ichinose down.
2.He simply consoled her and made it look like he was affected by her begin sad and went on to humiliate ichinose to make it more belivable.


Both could be true knowing how good of a writer kunigasa is.

I understand that he is cold and bold and a very smart person, But i just watched season 2 and in the entire season i felt so bad for Kei and all her problems from bullying and getting abused... And in episode 11 and 12 when she was getting torture, by blood was boiling and i was so angry and pissed... And after kiyotaka came and beat the asses of all those assholes, i still didn't feel for filled... But in ep 13 when it was revealed that he PURPOSELY CAME DURING HER BREAKNG POINT ( so he could have came before hand), that was it, I was betrayed (edit: i was "disappointed" not betrayed)....

This girl, she had been bulied for her entire life and she has PTSD from all the bullying, and she gets tortured and gets drenched in water in the frezzing cold weather, and THAT was all planned and he is SATISFIED it worked..

I am serious, do you guys actually like him and find him a good person or do you hate him but you don't care cuz he is cool? Cuz we can all agree he is cool.. But i feel like its "debatable" weather some people find him as a good person or a bad person.
