We stopped at Genoa cruise port on our MSC Grandiosa cruise in the Mediterranean. We were really excited about visiting Genoa and decided to spend the day exploring the city on our own.

There's lots of great things to do in Genoa. It's one of Italy's historic maritime cities. The area where cruise ships dock at Genoa cruise port is close to the Porto Antico, the Old Port. A lot of the main tourist sights are a short walk from the cruise port.

We were interested in seeing the house where Christopher Columbus lived so we walked to that. We also saw the Piazza Raffaele De Ferrari and Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. Genoa has some really stunning buildings.

We also visited the Aquarium of Genoa which is the biggest aquarium in Europe. It's also the most popular tourist attraction in Genoa.

We really enjoyed our day in Genoa cruise port. The area around the Old Port is really nice and easy to reach from the cruise port. The Aquarium of Genoa was a highlight and I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in Genoa, Italy!
