I will explain how light year things work

So 1 light year mean It would take 1 year of light transporting to earth or Human eyes. FOR Example we discover one planet that is 65 million light year that's mean it would make us see the 65 million years of the past in that planet. Easier example alien species that far from us 65 millions year if their telescope to the earth they would still see dinosaur walking around because it's take 65 million years of light from earth to get to their.
