Google Mobile-Friendly Test For Websites - Mobile Optimize To Avoid Mobilegeddon | WP Learning Lab

In this video you will learn how to test your site for it's mobile-friendliness. Once you know whether your site is mobile friendly or not you can being to address those issues and make it mobile friendly.

A website being mobile optimized or not is now part of the Google ranking algorithm. So, if you have all your other SEO (Search Engine Optimization) ducks in a row, make sure your website is mobile friendly should help you rank better.

You will see a field to enter your URL. Do so and then click on the blue Analyze button.

Once the app has finished analyzing your website it will show you whether Google considers it mobile friendly. A mobile friendly site should rank better.

You will also be shown a screenshot of your website appears on mobile.

If your site is not deemed mobile-friendly Google will let you know what it thinks the problem is with the site and how you can fix it.

The best way to fix it always to create a dedicated mobile version of your website or even better, create a responsive website.

Careful abt the robots.txt file. If it bolcks Google bots from crawling resources it may give u a favourable result. Recently made changes to my robots.txt file in root directory n updated it on robots.txt tester in Google webmaster tools. Cheers :)
