I get it. Even though this piece's called "Lullaby", it consists of circus and wonderland music because the girl's already sleeping by the time it hits the 00:13 mark :) We're being taken to her DREAMS the whole time!

I remember the nights i would stay up listening to snails house all night till 2am as a 11 year old drawing using the adorable art style as a reference. sunday, hot milk, in love with a ghost, warp star.... they have all become so nostalgic for me. i love this.

this gets me choked up every time. reminds me of when i would come home after school with my younger brother and we'd play snes and n64 games together.

when we were in elementary school, the first time we played animal crossing on the gamecube we thought it was so cool that it ran on real time. soon after, we would run around city trial on kirby air ride for hours making up our own scenarios and adventures. then wind waker was such a vast adventure for us to handle, but we made it through most of the game, taking turns fighting bosses; we'd always be so excited to play games together when we got home.

now we're both graduated adults and it just hits me so hard that so much time has passed. this song is a masterpiece that makes me look back on these safe, soft times and just remember to breathe.

I love how this song has the ability to make tons of people all think of different things that they're fond of. Me, I picture tons and tons of childlike delights, all prancing around a town square in some upbeat, chaotic parade. Kittens, ballerinas, musicians, all sorts of people and things, dancing around and throwing flowers, confetti, streamers, and candy (mostly chocolate) in the air on colorful floats, on a warm, sunny day.

Still one of my favorite songs of all time. Nothing will ever feel more nostalgic than this. With no words it whispers memories of childhood, making me tear up instantly, falling asleep to those last peaceful seconds is a dream.
