Just 9 days old baby pigeon being cared for by its father and mother.

Details:
Mother pigeons typically feed their baby pigeons a substance called "pigeon milk." Pigeon milk is not actually milk, but a secretion produced in the crop of the parent bird. It is rich in nutrients and antibodies that help to nourish and protect the baby pigeon.

When feeding their young, mother pigeons regurgitate pigeon milk from their crop and into the mouth of the baby pigeon. The baby pigeon will instinctively open its beak wide and stretch its neck upwards to receive the milk. The mother pigeon will then deposit the pigeon milk directly into the baby's mouth.

As the baby pigeon grows, its diet will gradually shift from pigeon milk to solid food, such as seeds and grains. At this point, the parent birds will regurgitate these solid foods and feed them to the young pigeon until it is able to feed itself.
