Gravity Rush 2 PS4 First Look/Tech Analysis

John takes a first look at Gravity Rush 2 on PlayStation 4, based on the footage released by Sony during Paris Games Week. Only 30fps media was released, meaning accurate fps testing isn't possible - but at least this does all but confirm a 30fps target for the developer.

53 people never evolved from their PS Vitas. As a Vita owner I'm glad Sony moved it to the PS4, especially from the PS3 tech demo of the first one looked beautiful. Vita hardware would only limit gravity rush's true potential. I'm a Sony fan so it doesn't matter what Playstation platform it's made on PS4 is the right decision to keep it's future alive.

I really loved the first Gravity Rush but the technical issues it had were definitely notable. Seeing GR2 look as good as it does makes me very happy, and the new powers seem fantastic too.

I didn't even now what this was; then the title screen popped up 2 seconds in...
Still, it is nice to see something original. This seems like a game that benefits from more than just better visuals when being on the PS4. Devs really need to start increasing the scope of their games. A little indie game shouldn't be the game we praise as art every year; need people be reminded that, in 2005, the game that was praised as art was the major AAA title "Shadow of the Colossus."
