DIY Maxi Skirt | Beginner Friendly

In this episode you can learn how to make your own gathered Maxi Skirt from scratch. This project is beginnner friendly.
a = bigger it will be, more the skirt will be gathered (to get better idea how much should you make it wide, I made each piece 100 cm wide)
b = the length you want + 10 cm (for hemming and room for elastic band)
The length of the elastic band should fit slightly tight around your waist.

Hi seamstress of 50+ yrs. This is a great pattern for anyone & especially for a beginner. Mia’s designs are quick & easy… so glad we have her. A little suggestion if trying this for the 1st time. Select a print like Mia used. Very forgiving if you make a mistake no one will know lol. And makes a great lounger if the 1st couple are less than perfect sewing. Remember you will get better ❤

Wow amazing I really want to learn how to sew so i can sew my own maxi skirt. I wear modest clothing and long lose clothing and it’s quite hard to find it in the shops or its too expensive so I would love to be able to make my own lots of love and keep up the amazing work

This looks so doable but I just have so many questions!! How long is our pattern? What are the dimensions we choose? Also, what kind of fabric do we use? A knit two way stretch? Cotton? Does it even matter? I have so many questions but I really want to try this project. I need longer skirts for work so I can be modest and comfortable and cute.
