Using a FLIR science camera, an environmental chamber, and a regulation football with a pressure gauge, we looked to visualize the correlation between temperature, and air pressure in a football. Check it out!

Temperature certainly affects air density so this is a very plausible result. My only question is how come the Colts footballs had the proper air pressure? Was it warmer on their sideline and warmer on the field when they were playing? I wonder if we can do an experiment on that? Nice work guys!

The game temperature was 50 Deg F (maybe 49 Deg F) and I seriously doubt the equipment managers pumped the balls up in a room at 86 Deg F! Likely the room was 70 Deg F and the outside air temp was 50 Deg F which is a delta of 20 Deg F and I'm not sure how much that could affect the air density inside the footballs. It didn't affect the Colts footballs!
