I switched from the stock G1000 to the G1000NXi. Since then, I've not had the avionics intercept the ILS properly. (I've got the AI/Copilot handling radios). I tried hitting the "Apr" button to arm it, but I never see "GS" show up on the top of the pilot's display.

From watching your video I think it's because I've not tuned in the ILS frequency. Oops!

Try activating approach mode but leave VNAV enabled and you'll get an LPV (Localizer performance with vertical guidance) descent down to the minimum altitude you've selected. I've found it works great and no need to enter an ILS frequency or switch your CDI source.

Also what I would love to see is, how to calculate the TOD and how to manually line up with the runway doing VFR flights. I always find it so hard to line up with the runway :(

Hey great video. How do you get the Navigraph chart to pop up inside Microsoft Flight Simulator ?

In the MFD you can bring the flight plan up and it gives you the v nav profile times TOD and BOD

The NXI is nowhere to be found…It´s no longer in the Marketplace or any other place….Where can I download it?
