augmented reality: immersion of digital landscape into the human physical through the manipulation of the senses.

To understand augmented reality you first need to understand the word augment: to make greater by adding something. And what’s being added is a digital layer. Therefore augmented reality is making the world that already exists greater by adding a digital layer to it.

I’ve been researching on AR and I think the implications and applications of AR are astounding. I see all the positives of the use of AR, however haters of AR see the negatives and call it invasive. How do you think AR when mainstreamed through the inventions such as Apple Glass, will affect daily life? Do you think the bad outweighs the good? For me, personally, I see too much good out of this invention and see the world of possibilities that it opens.

To me, AR is a visual skill or learning aid that may support training programs using augmented reality resources that enhance the environment where constraints may exist.

Augmented reality is a mix of real world view (what we see) and computer generated images layered ontop of that view, typically displayed by a device fitted with a camera, such as a phone. The most popular example I can think of being Pokemon Go which uses real world view with pokemon layered on top of that which you catch.

0:41 To me Ar is the future that can be created that will soon blur the lines between Virtual Reality and what we know to be reality they go hand and hand as it is and will only continue to grow into our daily lives

Im a truck driver. I want to develop an AR where it shows how it feels to be a truck driver, with every interaction with other drivers, customers, and CDL training, from book work, to pre trip inspection, what to look for, and even testing with an 18 wheeler and what to expect.
