Thanks for the great tips!! As a native speaker of Spanish, I have a tip for you regarding the name of your theme, "Acabado": change it if you can. Yes, it is the past participle of the regular verb "acabar" ("to finish", "to complete", "to be done"). But you're using it as a descriptive adjective, which comes across as "It's finished" = "It's done for", "It's got nothing left to offer". It reminds me of how the Chevy Nova tanked in Latin America because "no va" means "it doesn't go".

Awesome tips as usual.
An easy method to disable all comments without a plugin, go into discussion settings, and set all comments disabled after 1 day its by default set to 28 days and "off", and then just disable comments on your new posts. Unless you don't want it to show "comments are closed" on the post but that can be hidden with a simple CSS.

We are using the Free Anti-spam bee plugin for spam and so far no issues and we have all comments set to moderated so if spam gets through its not posted.

But some of those spam comments are so complimentary, we almost miss them LOL.

You can also bulk edit your posts. That means:
a. Select all
b. Quick edit
c. Allow/disallow comments
d. Update and done
Or just add this to your theme functions.php file and all the comments are off:
