Skomer Island is a tiny uninhabited isle off the coast of Pembrokeshire in western Wales. Although it's just ten minutes from the mainland by ferry, it's home to over 40,000 puffins, the largest colony in the world of Manx Shearwaters, and lots of seals.

In this video, we'll take you on a day trip to Skomer, including seeing lots of puffins, showing you the best things to do on the island, and explaining how to prepare for a visit to Skomer.

Excellent video. Very nice presentation. Thorough and entertaining. We have puffins here in Maine, but I'm pretty sure we don't have as many as there are on this island!

I’ve been fortunate enough to stay on Skokholm, which is Skomer’s tiny neighbour.
