In this video, we will see how to control an LED with an Android app that you will create with MIT app inventor. The new thing about this video, is that I will be using the MQTT protocol and not the usual Client-Server communication mode.I found the ESP8266 more stable and reliable with the MQTT mode.

As a mentor, I was looking for a tool like this to better teach young makers.
Is it possible to connect to a secure mqtt broker?
If so, how or where should I define the MQTT broker user and password?

Boss this is great ... but how to use SSL connection with fingerprint / token that must be include during handshaking or connection authentication, since the UrsAi2Mqtt extension did not have token field to put in .. thanks

it doesn't connect the app says 4( which is connection aborted) and serial monitor keeps trying to connect but fails. both of them are connected to the same network. can u tell me how can I check from my computer so that I can understand is it nodemcu's fault or applications. thank you very nice tutorial.
