Foeseal Set | Karachi Community Radio: Nagarkot Mountains Nepal Mix
Показать описание
In the picturesque mountains surrounding Nagarkot, Nepal @foeseal lit up the balcony with a neck breaking set for KCR.
Foeseal is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, DJ, and founder of @atfoess studio in Kathmandu. Making music under the name Foeseal since he was 18, Nepal’s unrivalled beatsmith has produced an eclectic portfolio of music for himself and others. Whether making lofi music under the alias Wrongnumber, recording singer-songwriter ballads as Homeboy, or knocking together trap bangers for local talent, Foeseal is always trying to develop his sound and create a space for others to do the same. A generational talent whose genre bending performances has graced stages in Nepal, India and the UK, Foeseal is one to watch in the future no matter what alias he’s working under. You can find his music on Spotify!
Foeseal's genre bending music, in whatever alias he decides to produce in, manages to defy definition because of his firm belief that you can only stand out doing what you know well, not by copying someone else. So, before the release of his pivotal EP Breaking Free, Foeseal began searching back through Nepal’s musical history, incorporating traditional folk instruments and samples rather than the western influences he’d been modeling his music off. Tapping into his heritage gave his music a local and transient feel all at the same time. For those familiar with the sounds, they’re there on the street with him. Hearing the horns blare, seeing the wires hanging over the street, the motorbikes ripping past at unadvisable speeds. Those unfamiliar with the instruments are transported to the Nepalese hills and mountains they’ve seen on Google images overlooking the city, watching the madness from a bird’s eye view, soaking in the new sights. So, even though he admits no art is really original anymore, Foeseal’s tracks are in a sense unique. They generate a unique experience for listeners because his music is rooted in his history and not many other producers are doing that. There is a wealth of material to inspire you in your own life, from your own town, city or village. If you’re overlooking them simply because someone else hasn’t proven it's a viable option, stop what you’re doing right now and pick up your laptop, brush, pencil or camera. A gap in the market is a blessing, use it, don’t refuse it.
