Good review. I have the Asus Vivobook S14 M433IA with a Ryzen 5 4500U and 16/512GB. Zero issues with it over the 13 months i've been using it. It's a fantastic laptop with very good build quality (chassis made out of aluminium), great cooling, battery life and Asus' famed reliability and repairability. I've easily modified the cooling by repasting the APU with a high performance paste (Cooler Master Mastergel Maker) and putting a thermal pad between the heatsink and the aluminum backplate to transfer heat over to that in order to cool the CPU better by using the backplate as a giant heatsink and being able to cool the backplate with a laptop cooling pad. Unlike many other laptops, Asus did not put any warranty stickers onto the heatsink screws so you can repaste it, as well as upgrade the storage (but RAM is soldered on entirely on 14" laptops) without voiding it your warranty. Using AMD APU Tuning Utility I could also manage both the performance and thermals to be perfect, by setting the base TDP to 24W, boost TDP to 27W and the temperature limit to 75C. It's both very fast and very quiet that way.

I am looking forward to the newly announced Asus Vivobook S14/S15 M3402/M3502 laptops with the Ryzen 6000H series APUs, as well as the models with the OLED screens (M5402/M5502). The iGPU is a beast there.

Kudos to you for realising there are people from other places watching too.

More reviewers should start mentioning prices other than their own currency.

Great review, thanks. Thinking about buying the Asus 15 OLED version with I5 processor and upgrading to 16 GB ram, just so I can do some coach editing.

Mine is still good (ryzen 5 5500U variant) for almost 2 months and did not encounter with any of those issues, good for movie marathon and slight gaming from low to mid graphics setting.

Considering the screen is 'glossy', how was your experience on a day to day usage. Too many reflections and glare or is it manageable ???

Good review. I have learned extra new stuff about it that allows me to make a decision to buy it. Meanwhile, have you or do you know what is the integrated intel graphic GPU HDMI 1.4 output... does it output 2k or 4k or just FHD ? Thank you for taking the time to respond to this message. Keep-up your excellent review.

Hello. Great video. Is the screen flickering issue still present till this day on your laptop?

I really appreciate this review! I didn't know that stuff about OLED panels. Can't be having a malfunctioning screen when running a business!

Can it handle 1080p video editing smoothly for every day editing ?

Thanks for sharing your experience! Just a question, i've read somewhere that the maximum ram this laptop can handle is 16gb. But there's already a soldered 4gb ram in the board right? Can i still put a 16gb stick in the sodimm slot?

Is the ram dual channel? Would you recommend the Ryzen 5 5500u?

Thanks for this Excellent video and addressing the flickering issue... I've already ordered the OLED model... Now I'm worried! Is it too much noticeable? or does it vary from unit to unit?

Do you think the version with ryzen5 5500u and 16gb ram is worth the extra money?

Do you think I will regret if I choose ips panel instead of Oled display?

OLED burn-ins are not that big a deal, honestly.

The displays are programmed to shift images every so slightly to share the load across the pixels.

And unless you're gonna leave the PC on the same screen for months together and not change anything at all, you probably have nothing to worry.

Your PC is more likely to die before this screen in all practicality.
