just a tip for everyone.. its all about the static on your hands, and there are more methods to achieve it, rubbing your hands against a carpet, balloons, there's the "school desk" method; just be careful not to touch metal or make contact with materials / objects that could release the energy before its used on small objects...

I've been into magic for more than 10 years, and although I know a lot of different methods to levitate an object, this is by far the best and most legitimate. Yes, there's a bit of set up beforehand, but it's worth it. You may fail a few, or tons of times at the beginning, like I did, but eventually you can master it. So far I've achieved to hold it for 3 seconds about 2cm apart each side. I'm working my way up to about 5 seconds 5cm apart each side.
