In this video I continue the Elegoo 'The Most Complete Starter Kit' tutorials, doing the 8x8 LED matrix tutorial. I actually improve a fair bit on the code, let me know what you think. I enjoyed this one as well.

My Elegoo "Basic Starter Kit" playlist can be found here;

The Elegoo Arduino 'Most Complete Starter Kit' is a really good but slightly expensive piece of kit. I paid around £50 for it on Amazon but totally worth it in my opinion. They come with PDF tutorials allowing anyone to quickly get started using Arduinos and Breadboards. In this video series I will complete all the tutorials for the Most Complete Starter Kit.

Subscribe for more as I'll be posting a lot more Arduino content.

It is very nice to see the way you learn. Like you stated, copy paste code is generaly bad especially when using something new which you don't understamd.

This video is great it helps the way you explain it and simplify it so it is easier to understand.

After getting a MAX7219 kit from China I wanted to understand how I could program to the display the way I need which is a 7 x 5 matrix to mount on a signal for a model railway as a position indicator, I came across your video which was very helpful ... initially I used a Nano but then found didnt work properly and a UNO cracked it, really need a seperate 5volt supply for display ... so now I just need to modify sketch with a switch case to illuminate the letters I need when I trigger a signal ...
