Lol, I love how many people are blaming the umpires, it's amazing. For example, people are saying Dixon didn't take 30 seconds... I went to the game and there is a clock on the scoreboard that counts down from 30 and guess what, he took 30 seconds. And so what, 1 game where Geelong got more free kicks and everyone frees out. I'm sure your team has got a lot more free kicks then the other team quite a few times

The umpire only made this call because the man-on-the-mark pointed to the clock on the screen and the umpire noticed it was at 30 seconds and panicked. You can watch as many replays as you want, until this game USUALLY after a kicker begins his run up the timer is ignored.
Otherwise EVERY player on the mark would take 5 steps closer and smother the kick for goal after that timer hit 30.
