Man that was sad. Proteus unfriending Planet X was truly heartbreaking since he was X’s first ever friend.

The problem with Planet X’s revenge, as he eventually realized, is that he made it all he is. X defined his whole self upon that one moment, the anger he felt and let it take up his life. For this revenge he became arrogant, stubborn, selfish and petty, and was willing to hurt so many others just because he got hurt. This is a good thing to bring up in real life, your trauma or bad things that happened to you don’t excuse your actions.

I did not expect Proteus to have that much of an important role in this arc, but holy Sagittarius A* did he pull his weight. That talk between X and Jupiter was so well written. Hope we'll see X again someday

I loved the way all the planets cared about their moons, Uranus counting each of their moons and setting aside his friend so he could see if their moons were okay, and the way Neptune cared about Proteus was lovely ❤

I swear this episode brought tears to my eyes...the ending broke my heart. I found it tender when Jupiter gave Guillermo Planet X, and even more so when X said that there could be other solar systems needing a "Jupiter" to protect rocky planets. I never hated X, I'm really going to miss him. 😕

This arc had its way of making me dislike Planet X to then wishing he would stay around or pop up from time to time. But this was the best ending for him realistically speaking. Great work team. ❤

This was truly one of the best episodes ever! The line ‘There are many solar systems out there without a Jupiter to protect the smaller planets… Maybe I can be one of them’ was absolutely incredible and hit so hard. 😢

I also loved the subtle yet powerful parallel between Jupiter and X’s departures. When Jupiter was banished and left the Solar System, X said ‘Goodbye, Jupiter.’ And now, when X left, Jupiter said ‘Goodbye, X.’ The contexts were so different, but it brought everything full circle in such a bittersweet way. Amazing storytelling.

Finally X did made a peace, why didn't i cry when i should have had. This episode was so good and touching. Proteus was amazing in this episode. But again i can't belive i'm saying this, but X needs to return at some point.

Planet X's soundtrack starts off all suspenseful and dramatic, but it gets more gentle towards the end

Nothing could be more perfect than this to end 2024.... Uranus finally quit his reckless era and started worrying about things except changing his name/realised it wasn't worth it... X truly went too harsh on the moons and hit them full force! He hurt very badly some and if he had to hit the little moons, looks like he would.... Proteus telling him he's not his friend anymore was truly heartbreaking, from the expression X made you can tell how much it hurt him... he realised at the moment that he hurt the ones who didn't hurt him just to take revenge and that didn't sit well with him.. X isn't a bad planet he just wasn't lucky in life... he never thought his actions would cause such harm... the scene where he runs to find jupiter with tears in his eyes while the planet X soundtrack plays on the background is full of emotion, his talk with jupiter is so sad... where X said: "there are plenty of solar systems that don't have a Jupiter to protect the smaller planets... maybe I can be that somewhere else..!" Is heartwarming it's just beutiful... and the scene with the solar systems as he said that was so beutifully made! Also there was no sponsor, merch or patreon ad and I think it was on purpose because as it was the last episode of the year the solarballs team may have wanted to make it as perfect as possible..! And we got 10 minutes of non-stop animation in total! I also want to point out the detail at the very end, X was in the solarflare and I think that's forshadowing that we're gonna see X again someday in future episodes!
The year ends with a bittersweet goodbye.... I'll miss X but I hope it won't take long until we see him again..! Thank you solarballs team for fullfilling another year with amazing stories and solar adventures!

Planet X is that character that many people hates, but when he finally got removed from the show, everyone miss him.

An interesting spinoff idea could be Planet X traveling to other constellations and star systems, as he's the only one capable of doing so...

Still, his friendship with Proteus truly mattered to him. When Proteus said, "We're no longer friends, " everything about Planet X changed, and he went back on his actions. Given how arrogant he had been, you might expect him to say, "I don't care, " but instead, he humbled himself. So, deep down, he had a core (a heart) after all... It's a sad farewell!
