Humanitarian operations are nothing new for aviation, which has long been critical in responding to disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes. Whether it is cargo aircraft ferrying in needed supplies, passenger aircraft transporting people out of danger zones, or helicopters conducing search and rescue operations, aviation provides unique capabilities during humanitarian crises. The same is proving true during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Join Flight Safety Foundation President and CEO Dr. Hassan Shahidi for the informative webinar, The Impact of COVID-19 on Humanitarian Air Operations. How are humanitarian air operations helping the world cope with the pandemic? Do governments need to ease regulations on a temporary basis to enable humanitarian air operations to proceed at full capacity during the global crisis? What happens when those conducting humanitarian operations themselves become COVID-19 positive? These and more questions will be answered.
