You're doing an excellent job! I took care of my mother for 14 years. I got a divorce because my ex didn't want to stick around. My sister didn't help me but made things harder for us. My mother's family accused us of keeping her away from them but she didn't want to seem them because they bullied her, her entire life. I lost friends, money, a husband and basically my sister, seeing who she really was. However, it was the best thing I ever did and my biggest and best accomplishment and I'd do it all over again. You're doing the right thing. Make sure you take time for yourself as well. It helps rejuvenate you. God bless you.

"Chooseday"...means, choose happiness ❤! Many don't understand the culture of commitment to the care of elders. Don't let anyone's judgment stop you from supporting your family in every way!

Mr. Chris you are one in a million sir! I've said it before but it bears repeating. I give praises to grandma and mama for raising such a kind and compassionate man. You have been blessed by your devotion to family and this darling young lady that God has placed in your care. I feel blessed by you allowing us to share your life via your videos. Your honesty regarding how much work full time caregiving is as well as the emotions you experience as a caregiver are inspiring and very educational. And the cheerful way you go about your work is exemplary. I can't imagine my 29 year old doing what you do to help grandma daily. He'd b more likely to offer to pay for a sitter. LOL. I thank God he sent such a fine young man to remind me I'm not alone nor a bad person for the emotions I experience in my caregiver role. Thank you from the bottom of my family caregiver heart for being there for us.💜💜💜

It was a similar situation for my mom. One day, she just couldn’t get her legs to work. She couldn’t stand or walk. They did X-rays and found that she had no cartilage in her joints, as it had been broken down by arthritis. They tried physical therapy, but there was no way to get her walking again. The recommended she go into a care center, but I didn’t want that for her, either. so I brought her home, and I’ve been her full-time caregiver for the last five years. When I was young my mom and dad begged my sisters and I to never leave them in a nursing home. I’ve cared for them both since 2013.

I took care of my mom, my dad and my step dad till they died. It happened one after another in the course of 4 years. I wish I would have had your channel to watch during that time. I know you are helping so many care givers by sharing your experience. Thank you.

You are such a blessing to her. I have no doubt that she would not be with you any longer if not for you. I love when she says Chooseday. She is so alert and aware of you helping her. God bless you always, Chris. I know your parents appreciate you so they didn't have to put her in assisted living . ❤🙏✝️

I love when you smile at her. The genuine love between the two of you lights up my life, and likely feels the same to many others. Thank you for letting us see this wonderful relationship. She may have outlived her body but love never ends.

I completely understand. I was a full time caregiver for my grandma the last 3 years of her life. I wouldn't change anything and it was of the best decisions I've ever made.
