Pete Thorne / Phil X chat is a real treat, if nothing else, glad guitcon produced that. Very insightful, light-hearted and helpful in a lot of ways.

As much as I really enjoyed all stuff from GuitCon, especially those amazing jams, I respect your opinions on this, Shane. For me as your fan, it's quite sad that you have not been there, but your channel is yours and same is your life. You have of course rights to do what YOU want to do. That being said, good luck with your new album, man! Would be cool to see some behind the scenes footage. Cheers from Czech republic! :)

Shane not social!! Nah, I see where you're coming from with the GuitCom event but it would've been cool to see you jamming with everyone! I really enjoyed the live streams but mainly the playing not the discussions.Enjoy Macnamara v TTK :-) \m/

Ouch, you're on daylight saving time now. It took me four hours to watch your live stream but it was worth it as always. The giveaway is a great idea Shane, I look forward to seeing what you put up. One of these things is not like the others ones.

Your explanation of electronics and age (the kemper vs. the 65 Fender) dead on! Glad to see you skip the Guitcon Shane. Thats why I subbed to you. Do your thing cause thats all that really matters

That's the thing about downloading songs/albums. I've downloaded heap of stuff, mostly of recommendations on stuff I like or might like. About 90% of it I delete, but you do come across some gems and now I'm a fan and went out and purchased the albums. The record companies are going on about download and lost sales. I see it as sorting through the crap and finding the gold. As for those Boss Katana's, I saved your video on that for later for the settings as I recently purchased one. 50% of the tone comes from their speaker I'm sure of it, but it's not like playing a tube amp. You can get some nice tones and I'm quite happy with it, but I'm not sure if it's the amp or my settings but something seems to be missing. It's only early days and still haven't put any downloaded tones on it yet!

Dano's were originally cheap back in the 60's. They were for us kids that really couldn't afford the big names. Much like Silvertone, Harmony, etc. Next step up would have been maybe less expensive Imports (even in the 60's) like Framus or Hagstrom. well made but inexpensive. Tons of other brands too. I have one of the NOS Dano's with throwback pickups. You're right, still cheap, but not so inexpensive. Pots are scratchy after a year but they actually play better the ones of the 60's. I collect old dano amps & pedals so had to have a guit to go along. Fun, , , but yep, cheap..

Squier makes a vintage modified strat with lipstick pickups, don't know about left hand versions though. I've not tried one but people say the pickups are pretty good. You could probably get a set of those pickups for cheap if you were interested in trying out some lipsticks. Just a thought.

@18:30 I have to agree with you. I like the TTK videos and he's good and very chillout in interviews. And that's why I think GuitCon is not as bad I thought, I'll admit it. In the case of TTK, Pixxy, Phil from KYG, etc... it's good, they can meet and do some interesting videos. And also, I thought it was going to be a "warwick-framus" centric event, and luckily it was not. Of course, a lot of people talk about it, but it was not about it when we here the WF CEO (Hans-Peter). He sounds like a good guy and not only trying to promote his companies... so yeah, that's at least better than I thought first.

Now, having said all that, I fully understand and even share your position in your case. Since it's very in purpose to build a "network" and you're absolutely not in that optics.

That was even quite annoying to see people such Glenn Frinkle and Henning appearing in videos. That's not really people I don't want to see in the channel I'm watching. If I'd want to watch them, I would subscribe to their channel. And I'm not saying they're bad people, just that I'm not interested to spend time watching time because there's so little in a day and so much more interesting people I want to watch because they produce content that I like.

So yeah, even if GuitCon was not the disaster I thought it could be, it was actually better than I was thought and it was great for some people out there (such TTK, Pixxy, Phil, Pete Thorn, etc...), I think you made the right decision for you Shane. My 2¢

Your awesome! ! Yeah I was really disappointed with Pixie going . And Phillip McKnight. You're right in that type of situation you have to serve your master.

For gibsons..ive gotta say, and I be played Gibson for years..esp now with the inflated prices, tonewise you 're best bet is a used studio nineties..550-750$ all the tone, sustain you 'll ever want

Enjoyed your stream as always. Thanks for sharing Shane. For a lefty, you're pretty awesome... I kid of course. You rock 🤘.
May I ask you... I have a Peavey Studio Pro 112. Would it be worth it to upgrade the speaker ? (Mine has the Blue Marvel one). Or would you get something like the Boss Katana ?

Hey Shane. Love your channel. Much love from Perth, WA. To the dude looking for a light guitar, I'd suggest thinline tele. I've got a squier classic vibe thinline tele and it's my fav guitar.

Hi, Shane: How difficult would it be to upload these to the podcast directories? I like to listen to the longer stuff while walking the dog in the morning. I noticed you've got some up, but the last one was Sept. 24th, I believe. Thanks again for your hard work. Great channel!!

What do you think about the Marshall code amp? Will you review it at any stage?
