Bar magnet suspended freely in water points in North South Direction Science Experiment

in this activity we will demonstrate
that when a bar magnet is suspended
freely it points in the North Shore
direction for this activity we need a
bar magnet with a North Pole and a South
Pole mocked on it magnetic compass which
points in the North Shore direction
float and a vessel with water we will
float this magnet in water allow it to
settle the magnet turns the float and
settles in a particular direction
if you compare the direction of bar
magnet with a needle of the compass you
can see it is similar that is both
points in the North Shore direction this
activity proves that a freely suspended
magnet always aligns itself in
