I agree with your legal opinion. I'm just worried that Filipinos in the US who had a prior marriage to a fellow Filipino has also guarantee of a criminal liability in the Philippines. Different jurisdiction, different laws, Atty. Anyway, thanks for this helpful information. I believe you have neglected to say that the divorce you described is not recognized in the Philippines and the person will possibly be prosecuted in the Philippines should they ever return there...please correct me if I am wrong.

But your marriage here in the US is recognised ONLY HERE in the US. When you go back to the Philippines, your maariage in the US is noy recognized IF your previous marriage in the Philippines has not yet been annulled

I am 20 yrs over separated from stupid x, and starting a sycological interviewd for process to that annulment.My sweeetheart in the US, He is waiting for my f1 visa to apply by the time of the finality.We were planning to get together for life..The attorney here i go thru are so slow bit of time even im always in follow my arrangedment verbally makes me irritated about my behalf even we already fees in the first place. Thank you for sharing this video. My problem was my ex husband he was a US citizen. He don't know how to apply in California. many times we discussed about divorce but he always told me that they will not recognize the divorce in California because we only married here in Philippines and not in US.
