Aside from Tarky's nightmare, the better team won today.
Bournemouth were slick and gave us a reality check. Fair play to the lads for our second half revival. We were genuinely unlucky not to pull one back. However, we're still a long way off.
A couple more PL wins needed to secure our status but basically, it's roll on next season.

A pattern seems to be developing in performance. Tarkowski and Dacoure don't seem to have an average 7 out of 10 performance anymore. Their consistency seems to be gone. It's one extreme or the other. O Brien will be in CB sooner rather than later. It probably would happen on Wednesday night if we had a reliable player to play RB the way Moyes wants it played. Alcarez will replace Dacoure.

Three posts and Tarkowski was the big difference today. To bad Alcaraz hit the post and not the net, would have been a dreamstart for him. He was a breath of fresh air, and getting him, Iro and Harrison on made us look dangerous. Screw the first half, have to take the positives which were there. And everybody who have been harch critics of Mykolenko saw what he means for the team, Young was a disaster compared to him.

To think cup history at Goodison ended like this is depressing. Tarky a huge let down he was abysmal today. Ref's didnt help either but what can you expect out of John Brooks and craig pawson always dodgy decisions when they ref us

Ref was atrocious, would have taken doucs off at half time with tarks. No balls In Behind and players passing it to no one. Tarks had PTSD or something he was shite, pardon my French.

Awful first half mistakes from Tarky cost us the game. Much improved 2nd half with Alcaraz being a ray of sunshine. Best to get this blip out of the way so the players understand that mistakes and dropping standards by 5% means you lose matches.

It's done now and we move on to the derby on Wednesday hopefully wanting to right this wrong and ensure we leave Goodison with a winning record against them.

Never expected to beat Bournemouth they are a really good side probably second best at the moment in the Premier league form wise. We played well second half all I can say is that although we lost it was a massive performance compared to when dyche was here
