I work at a candy store, and occasionally someone will come in asking for a candy they can't remember the name of. I have them describe it, and a few times I've successfully identified the item--but that hardware worker was on another level, lol

This is actually how words(not all of them, of course) are created. When people refer to the same thing by the same description, it gets gradually shortened and eventually become uninterpretable as a description. Then, it's considered a name of that thing!

I’m waiting for April Fool episode when there’ll be a world without something that we actually don’t have (like perpetuum mobile for example). For showing how actually ridiculous our world is (imagine having a giant world-wide industry around some fossils just for making cars moving.)

Scientist 1 is getting close. That's why family names like Smith (blacksmith), Fisher (fisherman), and more self explanatory: Archer, Baker, Barber, Bishop, Carpenter, Cook, etc. exist. Also family names that have "son" in it like Johnson used to just mean the son of John, example: Wilson, Jackson, Anderson, Davidson, etc.
