Diplomats from Iran and the United States are due to meet in Rome on Saturday for negotiations over Tehran's rapidly advancing nuclear program.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Rome earlier today. It's the second round of talks, following a meeting in Oman last weekend. Iran told the US it was ready to accept some limits on uranium enrichment, but needed strong guarantees that any deal would hold.
Araghchi was in Russia on Friday, where he expressed skepticism over the intentions of the US, which scrapped a previous nuclear agreement signed during President Donald Trump's first term.

New deal, same as the old deal
Though Trump may throw in some sanctions relief to get Iran to agree to it, so that he can declare a victory
Create a problem, so he can solve a problem

I'm more optimistic about an Iran deal than Ukraine ceasefire deal.

"Iran's rapidly advancing nuclear program"
hearing it from a country which has been punished by the USA harshly.
That's interesting!

The Art of Deal is like Picasso's abstract art. Almost nobody understand it.

Oh, and what happened to the greatly advertised Liberation Day? Is the event still on?

This equivalence between nuclear materials and their "delivery systems" is surely fundamental in Cold War language preceding the Iranian revolution of 1978, so that the larger question becomes the nature of "enrichment" when seeking a balance with "containment" or "inspection." Both the atomic and nuclear (i.e., hydrogen fusion not uranium fission) warheads of the Cold War developed in a context of huge investments toward the science, before communities learned to balance the dangers and advantages in those costs. That issue ignores a problem about the proliferation of weapons through the material's radiation, unlike the explosive force. The spread of this control is not bilateral or multi-polar for Iran in a global context; the terror can proceed from any given point of anarchy, pandemonium, or malice in that globe. Surely insisting on containing this threat within national borders should not insist that Iran shall lose any sovereign rights over its own uranium. That situation already spreads to the Lithium along the trenches in Ukraine or the sale of rare earths in Africa behind the Cold War's back.

As the basis for Plutonium, then "enrichment" can be measured by oscillations in a gyroscope, but the grounds for that material in Uranium are not alone in having "toxic potential" for definite elements. Therefore the mineral value of Lithium is essentially related with any arguments over "powers" in this jargon while the status of minerals formed by liens on real property should not determine boundaries for peace in some resolve to agree that limiting Iran's access to Plutonium is some guarantee that Russia or China might find better uses for it than the American President or the NATO commander.

If Trump is allowed to "wash his hands" of that passion for peace which announced the urgent need to open the channels with Russia in order to stop the killing immediately, then China may secure some right to send imperialists to fight where the communists don't want them around any more (not that they are defending autocracy against democracy).

Trump wants rare earth minerals. Something China is imposing an embargo on Trump. 😂

Bear in mind that Trump, America's Dear Leader, is playing a 300-D chess move here. It's so etheric that even theoretical physicists cannot possibly tell in what strange dimension he is moving his chess pieces into position!
