Writing Ionic Formulas with Transition Metals

Показать описание
We'll learn how to write formulas for ionic compounds that contain transition metals. The transition metals are unique because they are elements are able to make multiple ions with different charges. We use roman numerals to indicate the charge of a transition metal ion. To write a formula for an ionic compound with transition metals, we make sure that the positive charge of the cation and the negative charge of the anion balance out.

You just did what my Chem teacher couldn't do in 45 min in only 20 minutes. Subbed! Never paying attention in class again!

I remember struggling through Chemistry in both high school and college. I recently decided to tackle Chemistry as an adult. You have simplified pretty much every topic that I'm covering. I'm so grateful!

He goes through things so slowly and doesn't really expect you to know how to do it beforehand. So good!

You are the best chemistry teacher I have ever seen. I struggle to understand what my teacher is teaching and you just teach me in less than 10 min. Thank you so much

Thank you so much. This makes writing formulas seem like a piece of cake, when 10 minutes ago I was overwhelmed thinking about doing this for my chem exam tomorrow.

Super amazed on how you’ve taught me more in the 30 minutes that I’ve been watching you than my PROFESSOR has in a semester!

You are the only person in years who has helped me understand when to put parenthesis. Thank you so much for your videos. If you are still doing them some on spectator ions and precipitation reactions would be wonderful.

This man has taught me in 30 minutes (considering the videos that I have watched) more than my chem teacher has in 6 months. This is what we call an ABSOLUTE MADLAD

just wanted to leave you a note saying thank you for clarifying this out! My INTRO to chem college prof likes to think that his common sense is the same as ours, so he doesn't clarify anything to us & expects us to just know even when we ask for help. He tells us to "refer back to his notes" but the notes are just based on the history of chemistry & not on the actual work/calculations. I will definitely be thumbs upping this video. Better yet, I'll even subscribe to your channel!
