Fantastic! Aleppo soap is why I first started making soap so many years ago. I bought my first bar in Turkey. I loved Aleppo and had such a hard time finding it in the states, so I went about making my own. I do a 35% and I cure mine for about 9 months. Its now become my April project. Every April I make a batch so that I never run out. By the time I make it through the cured batch the next one is ready for use. It is wonderful for those of us with skin issues. Thanks so much for sharing!

I saw you tube videos of the guys making aleppo soap and spreading it across the floor to harden. It is fascinating to watch and that fired my curiosity about hand made soap and the reactions it goes through. I am also fascinated by glassmakers so if you fancy trying your hand at something I often wonder who how and why the first soap came about tallow and wood ash??? Have a super awesome day with a few hugs along the way. X x x

Nicely done. I have yet to make some and for that matter, try some but I would probably be one of those that would enjoy this lighter version. Thanks and look at your numbers again, 2.1k, that is fantastic.

The music sounds nice 👍 and the soap looks so creamy. I can’t wait to try it. Ty For this video Patrick. I did buy one bar of this type of soap before and it did stink. I still haven’t used it. I’m afraid I wil smell like it. Lol 😂 one day I will try it but, I think I’ll try the light version first 👍😁🧼 I saw a video of how they made that type of soap after purchasing the first bar because I had never heard of it before. It was a lot of hard work for those men making all that soap and spreading it on the concrete and stamping it aging it etc. wow they really live that soap in that part of the world. I figured let me try this special soap so I bought some and it’s been a year since then but can’t get myself to use it yet. Lol 😂

Hello Patrick. From Sydney here. I prefer the way you make it with 15% laurel.looks more presentable and inviting. Could you please tell us what the soaps scent is with the laurel ? Ive never heard of it before. Is it sweet ? Or does it smell like bay leaf when used in cooking ? That aroma ?
Also, as i hear and read, laurel soap takes a long time to cure. And that can be a drag if your impatient like myself.have u thought of adding sodium lactate, and sugar, water discounting to 20% and superfatting to 10%. Results would be a fadter curing bar etc...

Ohhh I love Aleppo Soap. I only knew of a few others who make it. The lighter version is very pretty. Does it have less of the earthy scent? Great soap!
