Breaking Stereotypes in Africa through Documentary Filmmaking

University of Houston assistant professor of journalism, Dani Madrid-Morales, is leading ten Valenti students to Kenya in December to film a documentary about the expansive media culture in Africa. After only a year at the Valenti school, Madrid-Morales is using his journalism and documentary filmmaking experience to present a new way of thinking of Africa contrary to pre-existing stereotypes.
