For someone in his first full season as a professional footballer, Lamine Yamal plays the game beyond his tender years. Every time he has the ball, he’s literally breaking everyone’s ankles and is dribbling past 3-4 players and knows when to make the right decision whether it’s going for a shot a dribble move or a pass. The skillset that he possesses is very unique, he’s very good at keeping the ball close to his feet while dribbling, he has that ability to produce something out of nothing he gives other defenders a run for their money and they find it difficult to go up against him and he’s also able to create chances from the right wing as well. It’s difficult for me to find any sort of weakness to his game and while he has an eye for goals, his finishing can improve and his shooting can be more consistent because when his goalscoring numbers increase, he’ll be a difficult player to stop when he reaches his prime. There’s a lot of comparisons between him and Lionel Messi as their playing style is so similar a little bit, but as good as Yamal is, we shouldn’t pressure him to follow in the same footsteps as Messi putting their name in the same sentence is disrespectful no offense.

He’s a couple of years away from reaching his peak and with his ceiling being unlimited he can go all the way in his career and with the rate in which he’s developing, one day he could be the next Ballon Dor winner. The only thing that’s concerning with him is that no matter how good he is, he should be a starter at Barcelona, but at the age of 16, playing 50+ games in your first full season as a professional footballer and depending on how Spain does at the EUROs, he already has a lot of football in his legs. I’m pretty sure we all remember what happened to Pedri after he played 70+ games in a season and as much as we want to blame the national team for mismanaging his workload, Yamal needs to be protected because it’s difficult to bench him he’s that good and he should play a lot, Hansi Flick here and there has to give him rest because a player’s long term future is important and you can’t overplay a young player no matter how good they are as Barcelona have to manage his game time. The hype around him is understandable even though remember the last player to come out of Barcelona’s academy and get so much hype, he couldn’t even get in the Brighton team and he isn’t the next Ansu Fati. In the early 2000s and 2010s, Real Madrid have been creating super teams so that they can dominate football and while Ronaldinho and Messi were the face of Barcelona, against a Real Madrid team that’ll have Kylian Mbappe Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, I wonder if he could be the next superstar to disrupt what they’re now to do in the next 10 years, it could happen, given how unpredictable football is, we all know just because you have great players on paper that doesn’t correlate to having a good team there’s a difference between the 2. The sky is the limit for him and hopefully he’ll reach his full potential because he’s going to be around for a long time and he already has that right wing spot locked down at Barcelona and the Spain national team for the next 15 years.

Seeing him couple of times, it seems that this kid has a lot of potential. I hope he doesn't get injured, and have better decision makings and he will be a really good player some day. Even messi had problem with muscle when he was young, but i just hope he doesn't get injured, like pedri.

ONE IMPORTANT THING THAT SEPARATES LAMINE YAMAL FROM THE REST YOUNGSTERS IS THE FACT THAT HE'S " CONSISTENT"

AND THIS IS WHAT MADE MESSI AND RONALDO THE BEST ( CONSISTENCY) THAT'S THE KEY.

The problem is that we love them when they are on top of the world. But when they do a mistake or when they don’t do as well as they did in other matches or seasons we absolutely hate them and say they “wash” or “overrated”. He is a good player but we can not over hype them bruv

Lamine Yamal has the world at his feet and is one of the best players to come out of La Masia. What more to say about him, the breakout season that he had at the age of 16, was incredibly impressive because at his age he established himself as a regular starter for club and country and that’s saying something about our potential. Last season, Barcelona was very inconsistent and they had their issues on and off the field, yet Yamal was literally their best player as he had 7 goals and 10 assists in all competitions and at times he was a game changer coming up big for them whenever they weren’t playing well and that’s the sign of a player who’s already world class at this age. He broke literally every available record there is to break with every appearance he made and goal he scored whether it was in La Liga the champions league or domestic competitions. You can make an argument that Barcelona would’ve been in the champions league final this year, if Xavi didn’t sub him off when Araujo got a red card against PSG because he had an assist and would always be an outlet for them on the right wing. In attack, they did have a lot of injured, but since he was so good, it was literally impossible to leave him out of the starting lineup. He wasn’t just excelling at club level, for the Spain national team he’s undroppable for his country and he has been a shining light for them at the EUROs so far. In his first ever start at a European championship against Croatia, he got an assist and produced an excellent performance, I mean how many 16 years olds do you know that can do what he’s done and he is cooking at the EUROs while having to do his homework. Talk about being committed to your education and professional career.

We can only hope that he has positive people around him who will help him deal well with this fame and opportunities. Football is ultimately a billion-dollar business.

Arda and Lamine had 2 of the best goal this euro and very similar too

People think Mbappe and Lamine are going to rebirth the El classico but I think Lamine's real competition is Arda.
and both will have number 10 soon

It’s crazy how a fanbase that absolutely has their team up their @rce can hate on a kid who is obviously good.
