Good video. I've been using the original version since it first came out, and it's been great, especially in low light. The main change that is making me think of getting is the blurred background/photo background. The new non-gimbal model also sits a bit lower on my laptop, which makes a big difference for me. My only negative comment about these great cameras is the so-called pro microphone: they're nowhere near any type of 'pro' sound quality.

Why don't they have a place in the firmware where you can check for updates? Most computer accessories auto update when one is available. I just purchased a LINK2 and need to update the firmware and am having the hardest time trying to figure out how to do so!

Can it be used as a standalone wireless action camera as well?

It is not great without the third gimble that influences it when used as an overhead camera. I own two Links and now one Link 2 but since testing it I had to change back to one of the links for my overhead. If you use jt as a web camera at eye level and not as an overhead camera it’s a great deal.
